finder’s keepers

i learned last year that just because i CAN’T pass something up in a store doesn’t mean it has to sit in my garage if there isn’t room. i found that selling it and charging a “finding fee” gave me just as much pleasure as finding it hiding in a junk store.

well, sometimes i still keep things all for myself. there is never a rhyme or a reason because it’s not as if the items i chose to keep are more amazing than the items i sell. in fact, it’s usually the opposite.

you may remember this metal table from a couple of posts down. i had it listed for sale, but decided that i needed it more than anyone else did. this area in my kitchen is supposed to get a combo washer/dryer with a commercial prep table over top, but for now this little black table will do just fine!

i didn’t really intend to sell this chalkboard, but i couldn’t pass it up for $1.99

it has a black side and the green side. i like the green with the black and although pretty cliche at the moment who doesn’t love a chalkboard in a kitchen? especially with a yummy chocolate torte recipe. i make this at work for private parties. it has 3 ingredients and it’s delicious!

I think this is my new favorite blog! By the way, what’s the last line of that recipe if you don’t mind sharing?

that is soooo nice. thank you!
once the eggs are very frothy, you’ll fold the melted butter/chocolate into them until all combined. put in a sprayed, foil lined springform(or cake pan). you are going to bake it at 425 in a water bath. 5 minutes uncovered and 10 minutes covered. it won’t look finished and will take awhile to set. once its cooled a bit you can put it in the fridge. this recipe JUST won best tasting dessert out of 30 other restaurants this past weekend!!
